Digging Holes From Water

For a while I'm not going to be posting videos on this blog. I find that my interest varies between video and photography, going from one to the other on almost a month by month basis. So--for a while at least--I'll be posting my photography and hopefully telling stories to go with the pictures I post.

2/1/10
Before I was granted the privilege from the DMV to get behind the wheel of a car, I used to find myself wandering in and around my neighborhood, camera around my neck. It seems that the second I was able to drive, I stopped doing that. Today, upon driving home with my windows down (because it was nice and warm, roughly 45 degrees) I found myself REALLY not wanting to go into the confinement of my house. I thought of where I could go to take some photos, but I felt--and still feel like--I've hit almost every halfway decent place on South Shore to go. So I grabbed my D200, tossed it around my neck, and went on a walk through Roundhill (my neighborhood). It didn't result in the most compelling photos ever, but I still enjoyed the idea of creating interesting photos when being surrounded by nothing all too cool. I also felt like doing some soft focus work. This is what I came out with:

Hooting & Howling

I've been really trying to get back into this whole blogging deal.
Actually, no. That's not true. I have all of 6 followers.

Regardless, I'm posting right now. I've been listening to a lot of Simon & Garfunkel lately. They've inspired my mind a fair bit. So, thanks to them, I'm making another stop motion. I decided that just now. Here's a little 12 second preview:

I also shot a time lapse yesterday. It'll look something like this (but it'll move):

Go play in the snow.

2010

It has been close to a year since I've posted anything on this blog. My reasons, well, I don't know. Probably because no one ever reads what I post. Also, I sorta stopped making videos. Though I'm proud to say we had a pretty successful season edit this last year. Check that out in high definition HERE.
So anyways, here I am, a year later. Cameras, people, houses, school, work, sleep, travel, and whatever else - that's my reasoning.
Regardless, we had plans for this season. Unfortunately, nothing seems to be going through. In all honesty that's sorta fine by me, but we did get this brief edit shot. Enjoy.

Off To Aspen

This time last year I was the happiest I think I've ever been. But the snow started falling.. and now here I am a year later, at basically the same place I was then (and that's not literal, this time last year I was in Hawaii). But metaphorically, somehow.
Anyway, sister and I head to Aspen together tomorrow, new edit soon, also a post from an urban drizzop (drop) we did the other day on Kingsbury.

I think it's safe to say that the filming Hiatus is over.
